What the threshold result means

This calculator performs the first threshold test only. For an accounting period shorter or longer than 12 months, annualized revenue equals total revenue divided by the actual days in the period, multiplied by 365. A business above the threshold may need a full margin calculation. A business below it may still have an information report obligation, depending on its entity type.

Useful starting point

A new entity with $500,000 of revenue from 1 January to 30 June 2025 (181 days) has annualized revenue of $500,000 ÷ 181 × 365 = $1,008,287 for this initial test.
